He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Walters and Joanne Walters (Schaeffer); his wife Dorothy Walters (Ryals); and his siblings, Claire Walters and Helen Walters.

He is survived by : his sons, Scott Walters (Annette) of Aurora and Terry Walters (Cindy) of Ashland, Kentucky. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
