He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Dickerson and Naomi Dickerson (Jasper); his brothers, Harry, Clarence, Jack, Estel and Jim Dickerson; his granddaughter Maggie Dickerson; and his close friend Rose Berkley.

He is survived by: his son Jeff Velma Peugh (Sherry) of Aurora. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home (12887 Lenover St, Dillsboro, IN 47018). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be given in honor of Jerry to Dillsboro American Legion Post #292 or Ohio County EMS.
