He was predeceased by: his mother Deanna Delap (Hornbach). He is survived by: his wife Donna Delap (Eckstein) of Milan; his daughter Randi Short (Stephen) of Carmel, IN; his father Kenneth "Kenny" Delap of Milan; his sister Stacey Cox (Steve) of Indianapolis; his brothers-in-law, Kevin Eckstein (Debbie) of Cincinnati, Philip Eckstein (Becky) of Sunman, Nick Eckstein (Tina) of Osgood and Larry Eckstein (Mary) of Osgood; and his grandchildren, Bo and Gabbi.
A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 8:45 AM at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home (707 S Main St, Milan, IN 47031). Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Charles Catholic Church (213 W Ripley St, Milan, IN 47031).
Memorials may be given in honor of Steve to St. Charles Catholic Church for Mass, Ripley County 4H, or to the family.
