In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Betty had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Betty may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Olive Duchatelet and Arthur Duchatelet; her significant other Darwin Nelson; and her children, Pamm Nelson-Crawford, Jean Keppler, Andrea Biggs, Brian Nelson and Marsha Bella.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark Missionary Church (55240 Bittersweet Rd, Mishawaka, IN 46545).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, St. Mark Missionary Church of Mishawaka, or to Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY).
