He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecil Perry and Lillian Perry. He is survived by : his wife Sara Perry (Hall); his children, Julie Smith (Ross) of Granger, Jodie Russell (Kenny) of Granger and Spencer Perry (Brianna) of Mishawaka; his brother Gordon "Mik" Perry of South Bend; and his grandchildren, Connor Russell (Lizzie), Keirstin Smith, Maddy Russell, Brady Smith, Emma and Easton Perry. He is also survived by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, and Pet Refuge.

“Heard about Daniel today from Mik. Deeply sorry for your huge loss. Dan was a fun fellow to hang out with in the 80s. He loved his children and spoke of them often. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Sincere and Hyest Regard, Sam and Fred Hyer Rockford, MI”
