He is survived by: his children, Chyrll McDonald, James Winter (Elizabeth), Michael Winter (Wendy), John Ruple (Jennifer), Matthew Ruple (Stephenie), Daniel Winter and David Winter (Kelly); and his former wives, Retha Burkey Owen, Diane Carpenter Wynn and Kathee Keller Kiesselbach. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
