Eric W. Roper Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2023, at the age of 87, Eric W. Roper of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roper and Gladys Roper (Coe). He is survived by: his wife Heather E. Storey; and his children, Karen Sawyer (Steve) of Lake Zurich, IL, Tanya Watson (William) of Schererville, IN and Alan Roper (Shelley) of Missouri. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.

“Me deepest sympathy for your loss. Eric was a terrific friend, I worked with him putting the I/N safety program together when the plant first started. The tireless work he put in to get the Union Hall site and built was never publicly recognized enough. His effort to establish an S.O.A.R chapter at our local will be his lasting legacy. I will always remember Eric in the fondest of ways, again please accept my condolences for this huge loss!”
