She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Bogard and Emma Bogard (Coots); her husband James L. Nelson; her grandchildren, William Cooper, Jessica Nicholas, Michael Faunce, Billie Jo Nelson and Katherine Stewart; her siblings, Ervil Bogard, Mildred Uland and Bernice Gilbert; and her son-in-law Larry Stewart.

She is survived by: her children, Billy Gerald Nelson (Lori) of Mishawaka, Ethel Stewart of Elkhart, IN., Perry Nelson of Bristol, IN., Stevie Nelson of Mishawaka, Marcia Faunce of Mishawaka, James L. Nelson (Marlene) of Mishawaka, Kathy Nicholas of South Bend, Debbie Nelson of Mishawaka, Ricky Nelson (Lorelie) of Three Rivers, MI and Jeffery Nelson of Mishawaka. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fifty-four great grandchildren, twenty-five great great grandchildren.
