He was predeceased by: his significant other Carolyn Wickizer; his parents, Ester Vaughan and Ross Vaughan; his brother Roy Vaughan; and his children, Amanda Vaughan and Jason Wickizer.

He is survived by: his daughters, Teri Vaughan, April Karn (John) and Stephanie Wickizer; his grandchildren, Cameron Wickizer, Alexia Barber, Ella Otis, Nathan and Dylan Karn; his siblings, Elizabeth Parker (Inez), Regina Walter (Vance) and James Vaughan; and his great grandchild John Karn.
