It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy J. Walenga of Mishawaka, Indiana, born in Calumet City, Illinois, who passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Lottie Walenga (Stein); his wife Phyllis J. Perl; and his sister Dorothy Teeter (Walenga). He is survived by: his father James Walenga; his children, Michael Walenga of Mishawaka and Karen Preusker (Dennis) of Libertyville; his grandchildren, Steven, Rachel, James and Matthew Preusker; and his son Thomas Walenga. He is also survived by father and grandfather, actively supporting his children and grandchildren.
In his memory, donations may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Mishawaka and American Cancer Society.
