He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cullen Welsh and Helen Woodvine; and his wife Jo. He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen Shipp (Terry) of Lake Forest, IL; his grandchildren, Harry (Maria), Michael (Kathryn), Abby and Sammy; his son John J. Welsh (Susan) of Beverly Hills, CA; his grandchildren, Isabella and John; his children, Claire Welsh of Pueblo, CO and Jim Welsh (Joann) of Mishawaka, IN; and his grandchildren, Kelly and Megan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the William M. Watkins Scholarship Fund or John P. DeMatteo Scholarship Fund at the Office of Institutional Advancement, Albany Law School, 80 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208-3494.
