He was predeceased by: his former wife Sally Lynn Palmer (Kornberger); and his parents, Kenneth Palmer and Geraldine Palmer. He is survived by: his wife Patty Palmer (Ellis); his sons, Todd Palmer (Titta), Kurt Palmer (Michelle) and Troy Palmer (Steffanie); and his stepchildren, Ken Schroeder, Jodi Schulte (David), Chris Schroeder (Melissa) and Darla Schroeder. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

The family asks that donations to Deer Run Church of Christ, 2730 S. Ironwood Dr., South Bend, IN 46614, be made instead of flowers or other gifts.
