He was predeceased by: his father Walter Kiefer; and his sister Bonnie Ritchie. He is survived by: his former spouse Peg Ramey (Mains); his children, Katherine E. Kiefer (Joe) of Alto, Richard T. Kiefer (Cindy Osler) of Mishawaka and Christopher M. Kiefer (Sandy) of Ontonagon, Michigan; and his grandchildren, Anthony Kiefer (Sarah Ann), Sarah Kiefer (Victor), Drew Kiefer (Kimmie), Mark Kiefer (Erika) and Sheila Luta (Alec). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
