He was predeceased by: his parents, August DeWinter and Marguerite DeWinter (Brown); his brother Terry DeWinter; and his sister-in-law Kay DeWinter. He is survived by: his wife Anne DeWinter of Mishawaka; his son Aaron DeWinter (Merri Ellen) of Tampa, Florida.; his grandchildren, Maddie Goncalves (Jacob), Griffin DeWinter, Britt Erp (Nikki), Hayley Tillman (Jeremy) and Gabe Helmus (Kamrie); and his great grandchildren, Aria, Jupiter Tillman, Lilly, Saint, Vianna Helmus and Leilani Goncalves.
