He was predeceased by: his wife Jo; his brother Stan; and his mother Dolly Ross. He is survived by: his brother Rod (Shelvy) of Menomonee Falls; his daughters, Diane Kane (Don) of Hinsdale, Lisa Britt (Steve) of Lodi, Janice Murphy (Kerry) of Syracuse and Nancy Colburn (Ron McCandless) of Loudon, Tennessee.; and his grandchildren, Ross, Greg Hammer, Kate Fiorenza, Carly Grimes, Whitney Brown, Don, Charlie, Steve Kane, Max, Alison and Andrea Colburn. He is also survived by his 13 great-grandchildren.
