She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Simmons and Cecil Simmons (Loy); her husband Jack Lewis Newell; her grandson Lance Eisele; and her siblings, Sue Bunch and Mark Simmons.
She is survived by: her friend Christopher Esbensen; her children, Lisa Weddell of Mishawaka, Richard Weddell of Florida, Ted Weddell of Chicago, IL, David Weddell of Carpentersville, IL and Ray Weddell of Deland, FL; and her grandchildren, Christopher (Melinda), Michael, Kaylyn, Cynthia, Jennifer (Edward) and Brandon Moey. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
