He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Kern and Helen Kern (Hanchett); and his siblings, Richard Kern and Mary Lou Korkhouse. He is survived by: his wife Linda; and his children, Lori Ann Hutcheson (Andy), Keri Ann Schmidt and Peter J. Kern II (Monica). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
