He was predeceased by: his parents, William Holbert and Myrtle Holbert (Barley); his great grandchild Charlie Rex; and his brother-in-law James Funk. He is survived by: his spouse Andrea Sailor; his children, Steve Holbert (Jayne) of Elkhart, Wendy Sensow (Kip) of Union Mills, Douglas Holbert (Jeri) of Elkhart and Terri Watson (David) of Constantine, MI.; his grandchildren, Steven Holbert (Brooke), Carrie Landesman (Brad), Jeffrey Vervynckt, Wesley Holbert (Ashley), Alex Watson, Samantha Watson, Cassidy Sensow and Kobe Sensow; and his siblings, Betty Funk of South Bend, Lee Holbert of Ft. Myers, FL, Ronald Holbert (Sally) of Mishawaka and Verna Smethers (Richard) of Osceola.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society to honor Rex's life.
