He was predeceased by: his parents, Roderick Crabtree Abbott and Dorothy Lupton Abbott; his son Roderick C. Abbott III (Cindy); and his brother Robert James (Dalean). He is survived by: his wife Martha Sue Abbott; his daughter Jennifer Abbott Lloyd (Allen); his grandchildren, Zoe Cynthia Lloyd, Finnegan James Lloyd, Henry Paul Abbott and Marigold Jane Abbott; his sister-in-law Dalen Abbott; and his nephew Jamie Abbott (Crystal).
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hahn Funeral Home (505 W 8th St, Mishawaka, IN 46544).
