He was predeceased by: his father Fred Vogler; and his daughter Jacqueline Ann Emmitt. He is survived by: his son Michael Vogler; his son-in-law David Emmitt; his brother Thomas Vogler (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Mason Emmitt and Gabrianna Emmitt; and his sibling's children, Caitlin Vogler (Nathan) and Sean Vogler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bethel University Ann Emmitt Scholarship Fund.
