She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Pearce and Barbara Pearce; her grandparents, Hale, Ada Pearce, Vallie and Gertrude Etchison; and her uncle Lewis Pearce.
She is survived by: her husband Bob; her sister Natalie Pearce; her aunt Barbara Pearce; her uncle Phil Etchison (Lavonne); her sibling's children, Katherine McDaniel (Myles Garrett) and Ian McDaniel (Kara Osburn); and her siblings-in-law, Bill Hicks (Lori), Debbie Vance (Wayne), Mary Huffer (Brett), Jane Mendenhall (Gary) and Amy Schemelhorn (Andrew). She is also survived by many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Donations in honor of Valerie's life may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or the American Heart Association.
