He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton J. Cox and Goldie Cox (Rader). He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Shari Kidwell of Goshen, Ann Prough of Goshen, Debra Fried (Ernie) of Goshen, Mike Swihart of Mishawaka, Sheri Howland of Mishawaka, Shan Layne of Mishawaka and Keely DaeMeulenaere (John); his grandsons, Brian Bedwell (Heidi) and Brad Bedwell (Trish); and his great grandchild Harlie Norman. He is also survived by five great-great grandchildren.
