He was predeceased by: his parents, Avel Bennett and Laverne Bennett (Stephens); and his son-in-law Perry Reynolds. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Jean Bennett (Curry) of Mitchell; his children, Cynthia Maxwell (William) of Bedford, Teresa Reynolds of Mitchell, Donna Brewer (Shep) of Bloomington and Tim Bennett (Gary Hanifen) of Seymour; his grandchildren, Candi Dersch (Danny) of Morganton, Ben Reynolds (Jessica) of Sheboygan Falls, Stephani Spinks (Camden) of Lawrence, Shonda Allender (Travis) of Bedford, Justin Jenkins (Brittany) of Bedford, Jessica Giffiths (Kenny) of Jackson, Kayle Hunter (John) of Bedford, Cassandra Hamilton (Stephen) of New Albany and Alec Bennett (Kendyll Blackwell) of New Albany; his great great grandchild Jack; and his siblings, Arvin Bennett of Noblesville, Meritta Kennard, Villis Richardson, Ira Bennett, Velma Crowe and Ruby Lean Bennett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Park Place Church of God. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bedford Park Place Church of God. A burial will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at the Green Hill Cemetery (1202 18th St, Bedford, IN 47421).
