He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellesworth Underhill and Dorothy Underhill (Brown); his wife Betty Underhill (Gilbert); his children, David W. Underhill Jr., Scott Underhill and Patricia Beavers; and his siblings, Elwood Underhill, Danny Underhill and Mary Underhill-Kifner.
He is survived by: his daughter Tina Hobson of French Lick; and his siblings, Charles Underhill of Orleans, Jimmy Underhill of Orleans, Larry Shortridge of Indianapolis, Paula Sue Underhill of Loogootee and Joyce Shortridge of Indianapolis. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McAdams Mortuary (500 SW 1st St, Paoli, IN 47454). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
