She was predeceased by: her parents, William Meadows and Jesse Meadows (Flynn); her husband John Earl Turpin; her daughter Hazel; her grandchildren, Holli, Candi and Mason; and her siblings, Joan, Pat and Jack.

She is survived by: her children, Lana Miller (Bill), Rita East (Terry), John Turpin (Angela), Jeanetta Anderson (Kevin), Stormi George and Leatha Thurman (Guy); her son-in-law Albert Abel; her grandchildren, Larry, Laura, Phyllis, George III, Samantha, Brandy, Javin, Chad, Chance, Gretchen, Brooke, Tyler, Jennifer, Guy Jr. and Whitney; and her sisters, Kay Kimmel and Brenda Balsover. She is also survived by forty-two great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren.
