He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Hilty, Sr. and Emma Hilty (Troyer). He is survived by: his wife Lovina J. Hilty (Graber) of Monroe, IN; his children, Margaret L. J. Schwartz (Jake) of Kokomo, IN, Emma L. J. Shetler (Alvin) of Monroe, IN, Jacob L. J. Hilty (Katie) of Berne, IN and Jonas L. J. Hilty (Leah) of Pennville, IN; his brother Sam J. Hilty (Martha); his sister-in-law Martha L. Hilty (Miller) of Monroe, IN.; his siblings, Andy J. Hilty, Reuben J. Hilty and Fannie J. Hilty; and his half-siblings, Menno J. Hilty, Joe J. Hilty, Alvin J. Hilty, Amos J. Hilty and Katie J. Wickey. He is also survived by 33 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Hilty Residence (1108 S 500 E, Monroe, IN 46772). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
