It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn R. Gibson of Monroeville, Indiana, who passed away on June 28, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evelyn R. Gibson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Keith Marquardt and Helen Julia Bonecutter (Oyer); her husband Harry Richard Gibson; her son James Ryan Gibson; and her sisters, Ann Towell and Mary Alice Boggin.
She is survived by: her son Larry Gibson (Nancy) of Decatur, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Angela Evans (Kevin) of Kokomo, Indiana, Chris Slusher (Tonna) of Preble, Indiana, Jason Gibson (Melynda) of Decatur, Indiana, Beverly Augustyniak (Corey) of Decatur, Indiana and Michael Gibson (Dusty) of Monroeville, Indiana. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home – Jacobs Chapel (111 S Water St, Monroeville, IN 46773). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
Preferred memorials can be given to Adams Heritage.
