He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Rothgeb and DeVetta M. Rothgeb (Bolyard); his wife Margaret Anne "Peggy" Schnelker; his son-in-law Kurt Lahrman; and his brother Gene Gick.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Rothgeb (Michale) of Auburn, Indiana, Sarah Lahrman of West Lafayette, Indiana and Amy Reimund (Phillip) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his brothers, Dean Rothgeb (Patty) of Monroeville, Indiana, Neal Rothgeb (Beth) of Monroeville, Indiana and Mark Rothgeb (Bobbie) of Monroeville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Madelyne Rothgeb, Owen Rothgeb, Ethan Rothgeb, Emmalyne Rothgeb, Piper Lahrman, Hudson Lahrman, Ryder Lahrman, Maya Guenin, Henrik Guenin, Cruze Guenin, Andrew Carter, Katie Reimund, Austin Reimund and Aiden Reimund; and his great grandchildren, Isaiah Reimund, Sawyer Clark, Willow Clark and Rosie Clark.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home- Jacobs Chapel (111 S Water St, Monroeville, IN 46773). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel (111 S Water St, Monroeville, IN 46773). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Louis Catholic Church (15535 Lincoln Hwy E, New Haven, IN 46774).
Preferred memorials may be given to Stillwater Hospice or Masses.
