It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert N. Thorn (Monroeville, Indiana), who passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris L. Thorn and Harriet E. Thorn (McCurdy); his son Robert A. Thorn; his grandson Todd Shelton; his great grandchild Christian Shelton; and his brother David Thorn.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Thorn of Decatur, Indiana; his children, Susan Dyer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Emily O'Dowd (Kevin) of Hamilton, Indiana and John Thorn (Jill) of Whitefish, Montana; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Wright (Terry) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his sister Wanda Baker of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; his sister-in-law Reta Thorn of Gastonia; his grandchildren, Nathan Shelton (Kendra), Rachael Shelton, Katie Garrett (Zach), Sarah Norder (Erick Aguirre), Emma Norder, Grace Nelson, Claire Nelson, Spencer Thorn, Mikenna Thorn, Lahna Thorn, Brecken Thorn, Emma Wright, Casey O'Dowd and Conor O'Dowd; and his great grandchildren, Ayiden, Jaxyn, Micah, Julia, Ellie, Marshall, Eleanor, Levi, Joshua and Rowyn.
The family requests that memorials be given to St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen.
