He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Albert, Julia Dewar, John and Myrtle Johnson; his parents, Gary Dennis Light and Brenda Faye Purvis (Dewar); his niece Morgan Ashley Green; his cousin Elaine Sampson; and his close friends, Rebel, Shadow and Cleatus.

He is survived by: his granddaughter Olivia June; his wife Shawntel Suzanne Light of Monrovia; his daughters, Savanah Starr Light of Monrovia and Desirae Dawn Watson (Stuart) of Monrovia; his granddaughter Olivia June Watson; his brother Robert "Bobby" Green of Indianapolis; and his parents-in-law, Eddie Olleman (Dianne) of Monrovia and Debbie Williams (Mike) of Monrovia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, classmates and friends.
