He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kitchens and Maxine Kitchens (Roach); and his siblings, Colby Kitchens and Sandy Hogan (Warren). He is survived by: his pet Mabel; his wife Peggy Kitchens (Luker) of Wilbur; his children, Adam Kitchens of Carmel, Richard R. Kitchens II of Florida and Nicole Kitchens Carter of Florida; his grandchildren, Israel of Martinsville, Samantha of Martinsville and Courtney of Martinsville; and his siblings, Kenny Kitchens (Charlotte) of Noblesville, Gene Kitchens of Hamilton County, Bobby Kitchens of Westfield, Linda Brand (Larry) of Michigan, Diana Ottinger (Rick) of Lebanon and Debbie Kitchens of Westfield.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel (585 E Main St, Monrovia, IN 46157). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Mt Pleasant Cemetery (5409 W Hurt Rd, Monrovia, IN 46157).
