He was predeceased by: his mother Fayette Zeiters, Sr. (Fifield); his sons, Melvin E. Zeiters III and Gregory Zeiters; and his siblings, Kendall, Alvin Zeiters and Diane Johnson.
He is survived by: his father Melvin, Sr.; his children, Debbra McCary, Christopher Zeiters (Crystal), Michaela Zeiters, Kevin Zeiters and Kyle Richie; his brother Dennis Zeiters (Rita); and his sister-in-law Riba Zeiters. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
