He was predeceased by: his parents, William Knepp and Mary Knepp (Wagler); his son Mervin Knepp; his siblings, Abraham Knepp (Wilma), Amos Knepp (Fannie Margaret), Henry Leroy Knepp (Rosa), William Knepp Jr. (Lavina), Mildred Graber (Abraham) and Edith Knepp; and his brothers-in-law, David Raber and Paul Joe Wagler.
He is survived by: his wife Alvena Knepp; his children, Darin Knepp (Mary Sue), Delmar Knepp (Emma Jean), Darla Wittmer (Fred), Ernie Knepp (Malinda), Mary Lynn Knepp (John) and Paul Knepp (Leanna); his daughter-in-law Alta Knepp; and his siblings, Sylvia Raber, Ora Knepp (Rachel), Rosemary Wagler, Wilma Jean Wagler (Joe) and John Ray Knepp (Vera). He is also survived by 29 grandchildren.
