He was predeceased by: his mother Bernadetta Lechner (Walker); his adoptive father James Lechner; his brother Jim Lechner; his father William Craney (Bill); and his siblings, Donetta Sorrells, Diane Bauer and William Craney (Billy).
He is survived by: his wife Imogene Lechner (Showalter); his sons, Brian Lechner (Ramona) of Washington, Jeffrey Lechner of Montgomery, Troy Lechner (Amanda) of Montgomery and Darrell Lechner (Wendy); his grandchildren, Erica Myers (Derek), Brittney Lechner, Misty Mack (Paul), Tena Bird (Rich), Roy Bannister (Valarie), Gage Lechner (Niki), Harper Lechner, Nicole Mack, Tristan Kaiser (Alan) and Dustin Wright; his siblings, Charles Lechner (Pat) and Sharon Brassine; his close friends, Louise Hunter and Betty Mae Hass; and his children, Dana (Bill Harding), Glenda Baker, Scott and Jamie (Brandie). He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (305 2nd St, Montgomery, IN 47558). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
