We announce the death of Dorian P. Hicks of Monticello, Indiana, born in Lebanon, Indiana, who passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 78. Dorian will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorris Ottis Hicks and Lillie May Hicks (Lumsden); and his brother Jerry A. Hicks. He is survived by: his children, Ivy Willard of Filmore and Dustin Hicks of Sheridan, Indiana; his grandchildren, Whitney Olorunfemi (Busawo) of Danville, Grace Blackford (Canyon) of Coatesville, Mallory Andry (Connor) of Westfield and Adrianna Hicks of Westfield, Indiana; his sisters, Janet Gilliam of Gary and Eva May Dent of Gulf Shores, Alabama; the mother of his children Judy Sexton (James) of Danville, Indiana; and his former wife Cynthia "Cindy" Hicks of Sheridan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Happy Tails Animal Shelter.
