With sadness, we share the passing of Mary L. Copas of Monticello, Indiana. Mary, born on April 23, 1926, passed away on June 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Goad and Martha Goad (Carnahan); her husband Oscar Copas; her son Stephen Copas; her siblings, Loren Goad, Lawrence Goad, Inelle Smith, Lola Jean Muse and Dorothy Pearl Emberton; and her grandson Gary Quasebarth, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Michael C. Copas of Monticello, Marilyn Lowe of Lafayette, Marsha Kripisch (Tom) of Medaryville and Connie Mayhew (Shane) of Fulton, MD; and her grandchildren, Rodney Lowe, Machelle Hamilton, Melanie Krystal, John Mayhew and Mellissa Mayhew. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church of Monticello.
