He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Mitchell and Doris Mitchell (Schwartz); his wife Mary Lee Sowders; his children, Terri Creasy (Andy), Mark Mitchell (Michael) and Joseph "Jody" Mitchell (Mindy); his grandchildren, Carisa Richardson (Eric), Cliff Ragan (Jennifer) and Olivia Creasy; his great grandchildren, Luke Ragan, Lily Ragan, Audrey Hawkins, Lane Ragan and Hurley Richardson; his sister Jo Anne "Jody" Headdy (Dale); his sisters-in-law, Vicki Sowders, Gloria Sowders and Tammie Sowders; his sister Linda Paxton; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Sowders, Victor Sowders and Donald Gene Sowders.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Ray may be made to Moose Charities at the Tipton Moose Lodge.
