He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Griffin and Stella "Marie" Griffin (Fairchild); his aunt Betty; his uncle Harry Riley; and his father-in-law Robert "Bob" Williams.

He is survived by: his children, Stella "Marie" Griffin Marital (Fairchild), Married Resided and Davie; his wife Robin Griffin of Monticello; his pet Macey; his brother William Joseph "Bill" Griffin (Mary) of Monticello, Indiana; and his mother-in-law Marjorie Williams of Monticello, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorials may be given to the Family, or to the White County Food Pantry of Monticello, Indiana.
