She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Michael and Irene Michael Lines (Knox); and her siblings, Bill Michael, Beverly Sue Hollar and Tom Michael.
She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Smith of Montpelier; her children, Shawn Gearheart (Michele) of Montpelier, Shane Gearheart (Jodie) of Hartford City, Jared Smith (Tammy) of Marysville, WA, Sabra Bell (Kevin) of Durango, CO and Nathan Smith (Lisa) of Portland, OR; her friend Stacey Gearheart; and her sister-in-law Sharon Michael. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
