He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Roop and Carolee Roop (Loudin); and his sister Jessica Roop. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Bemis (Coffman); his sons, Jeff Roop (Jackie) and Isaac Roop (Alexis Hawkins); his stepchildren, Christy Gross (Calvin), Jason Bemis (Brianna) and Preston Bemis (Lindsey); his siblings, Jeff Roop (Sandy) and Karen Thowsen (Tom); his niece Chelsea Neal; and his nephew Doug Roop. He is also survived by Several grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Faith Chapel (3928 N Salem Rd, Decatur, IN 46733). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed towards the family in care of Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
