He was predeceased by: his parents, Iver Luellen and Bertha Luellen (Shinn); his wife Joy June Luellen; his granddaughter Jessica Joy Hale; and his brothers, Richard and Harold.

He is survived by: his former wife June Houser; his children, Randy Luellen (Jana) of Mooreland, Brenda Day (David) of Noblesville, Kerry Luellen (Pamela) of Apoka, FL and Julie Hale (Joe) of Mooreland; his grandchildren, Amanda Jester (Ted) of New Castle, Ryan Luellen of Millville, Nathaniel Day (Erin) of Greenfield, Anna Dilger (Ryan) of Mahomet, IL, Eric Day (Amy) of Fishers, Jaron Hale (Brooke) of Hagerstown, Jay Hale (Abby) of Mooreland, Devon Luellen of Mission and Emily Luellen of Dallas, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Cecily Jester, Mason, Sara, Daniel, Jasmine Luellen, Gavin Anderson, Thomas, Noah, Allie, Josh Dilger, Colby, Caleb Day, Owen, Ivy Hale, Jaxon, Jonah and Jace Hale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 and the governor's mandate, face covering will be required.

“Goodbye my friend. Thank you for your generous inclusion of us into your world. I loved talking to you especially your humor. There would not be a Wilbur Wright Birthplace without all of the resources and work you and June donated to it. You are once again with your beloved June telling your funny stories, doing your little pranks, and just maybe sneaking a chew. May God bless you and June and your whole family. We will miss you.
