He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Talmadge and Virgie Irene Owens (Mattix); and his sister Carolyn Rollins. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Vanvolkenburgh (Floyd) of Greensburg and Mitzi Sturges (Tim) of Morgantown; his sister Marilyn Cunningham of Westport; his grandchildren, Tasha Cline (John), Joshua Meredith, Haley Vanvolkenburgh, Tyler Miller and Kaylee Miller; and his great grandchildren, Kaden Houk and Jaxson Land.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home (402 E Bennett St, Westport, IN 47283).

Memorial contributions may be made to Letts Volunteer Fire Department or the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
