She was predeceased by: her husband Lewis Patten; her parents, George Gault and Lucy Gault; and her sons, Carl Thompson, Ernie Thompson and Harvey "Smokey" Patten.

She is survived by: her children, Leroy "Butch" Thompson and Carole Smedley; and her sisters, Linda Dennison and Barbara Thayer. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Matthews Mortuary (690 E 56th St, Brownsburg, IN 46112). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
