He was predeceased by: his parents, Gentry T. Gaither and Alma G. Gaither Sr. (Kerr); his wife Ellen Gaither; his son Calvin Gaither; his brothers, Delmar, Paul, James and Michael Gaither; his son-in-law Bill Wilson; and his great grandchild Jeremy E. Arwood.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Gaither (Lori) of Waverly, Sharon Wilson of Nashville, Nancy Harbert (Ed) of Greenwood and Rick Gaither (Mary Ellen) of Nashville; his daughter-in-law Sandy Gaither of Nashville; his siblings, Gentry T. Gaither Jr. and Roger Gaither (Donna) of Louisville, KY; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Hoten (Rosemary) of Fredricksburg, Carol Gaither of Corydon and Marlene Gaither of Georgetown. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
