It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Lewis (Morgantown, Indiana), born in Colusa, California, who passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, George shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid George farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his grandson Louis Allen Arnold; and his great grandchild Hazel Wren Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Martha J. Lewis (Tuck); and his children, Mark Lewis of Martinsville, Michael Lewis of Brown County, Todd Lewis (Kathy) of Paragon, Laura Arnold of Brown County and Ted Lewis (Shawnda) of Martinsville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Meredith Funeral Home (179 E Mulberry St, Morgantown, IN 46160). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of George to the Open Arms Christian Ministry Hebron Home "Amazon Christmas Wish List Fund" 2417 S. 800 W. Lyons, IN 47443.
