She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Peiffer and Amy D. Peiffer (West); her spouse Phileve Brown; her son Tommy L. Brown; and her sisters, Vonda Yanak, Margaret Wyland, Betty Kent and Tressia Buchanan.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Brown (Katrina) of Greenfield, IN and Dennis Brown; and her brother Tracy Herbert Peiffer of Interlochen, FL. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the McElhaney Funeral Home (715 N Jefferson St, Huntington, IN 46750). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:45 PM at 11201 S Marion Rd, La Fontaine, IN 46940.
The family is asking that no flowers be sent but instead to please consider donating to the Library at the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) which Shirley was very involved with and loved supporting.
