He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Cox and Hazel Cox (McFadden); his son Jon Darren Cox; his great grandchild Camden Hancock; and his son-in-law Jim Shea.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Shea, Dinah Cox-Moore and Duane Cox (Tawana); and his grandchildren, Dyke Andrew Hancock (Nicole), Ross Moore, Brooke Price (Chaz), Jeff Cox, Tyler Moore (Cortney), Trevor Cox (Taylor) and Jon Destin Cox.
