He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Higgins and Evelyn Lewis (Broadhead); and his brothers, Jack and Bob Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Higgins (Kuhn); his children, Mark William Higgins (Debbe), Brenda Peter (Steve), Anita Zenthoefer (Pete) and Patty; his brother Larry Higgins (Linda); Jim, Donna Clevenger (John) and Denise Upshaw (Allen). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
