James Rainey Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 8, 2023, at the age of 78, James Rainey of Mount Vernon, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Rainey and Anna Victoria Rainey (Green). He is survived by: his wife Brenda Rainey (Cochrum); his children, Selina Watson (Gary), Asa Rainey (Kelli), Ara Rainey (Erin), Robert Rainey-Combs and Walter Hampton-Rainey; his foster son Justin Gregory; his grandchildren, Seth Rainey (Rachel), Levi Roberts, Aaron Roberts, Alyssa Schnautz (David), Finn Rainey, Gibson Rainey and Bonnie Rainey; his great grandchildren, EJ, Ella, Veronica, Michiel, Karter, Charlotte, Krew and Daisy; his sisters, Linda McDaniel and Tammy Rush (Howard); his sister-in-law Barbara Crumbacher (Robert); and his nieces, Laura Boarman, Sarah Pugh and Georgia Thomas.
