She was predeceased by : her mother Elsie Stevens; her friend Wanda Staples; and her cousins, Melvin Redman and Barbara Meeks. She is survived by : her cousins, Robert Redman, Carl J. Redman, Marvin Redman, Katherine Alstadt, Jenny Riley, Nancy Matthew, Bill Osborn, Larry Osborn, Emily Sexton and Charlotte York. She is also survived by 18 great-great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's name to the University of Southern Indiana School of Nursing.
